Yeah so I’m one of those parents that wouldn’t care about a band aid and Neosporin or even rubbing alcohol. I would however want them to ASK me if Tylenol or Motrin is ok. I am 28 and My sister is 20....even now my mom HATES the thought of going on a vacation without us. A few years ago for my parents 25th anniversary my sister & I basically forced our parents to go on a trip to europe just the two of them cause my sister had school & I also couldnt go. So the fact that the mother in the last story went on a 7 week trip leaving her small children and was happy is beyond my comprehension. Yes she prob deserved a break but that long? I feel like a better solution to give her a break and also not make it seem like she abandoned her husband and kids for 7 weeks was maybe bring in more help. Like the sister came when she left....she could have come while the mother was at home....she could relax some more but also still be there for her very small developing children. She could have talked to the Dad about being more involved to help her out....but also I feel like peole jump to divorce way to easily. Like 7 weeks is long time to leave your children but it seems like a very short time to just fall out of love with your life partner and mother of your children. Therapy is a good idea.

Story 2: As a twin mom, my twins are really different and that’s okay. There’s so much expectations that twins are supposed to be the same and super close. That’s not something you can force on your kids. She’s completely Delulu!! She will quickly learn that a 1 year old and 2 year old will be completely on different developmental levels.. she will be doing the 2 year old a disservice by holding him back.

Soooo... If cat poop can give you the disease... are you bathing the cat? Are you petting the cat? Touching the cat? The cat poops in a box and walks through the poop and then jumps on the counter. I would get rid of the cat. If its feces is THAT dangerous I would ABSOLUTELY protect my wife. But I'm not going to act like cleaning the litter box is the only issue. Sorry. The cat is covered in poop. Noone bathes cats. I'm sad for Justin, because he is laying down the line here and now and he just got told ge is basically less important than owning a cat. Story 1: My late husband was in a car accident caused by a drunk driver when he was 11. The accident caused deaths at the time, and he almost died then as well. It caused some extreme health problems that meant he needed multiple surgeries, and his chest and abdomen were covered in scars. He had quite a lot of trauma from the accident and for many years he felt very insecure about the scars. He never did get to a point where he would go shirtless in public, but he was able to with me. Our relationship did not progress into a romantic one until we'd known one another for 8 years, and we were in our late 20s by then, so I think I was the first girl he felt comfortable enough with to not be insecure about the scars. Eventually he felt more secure and less worried about people seeing. But these things take growth and time to heal. I think having someone really love you and care for you in a non toxic relationship helps too.

So MIL was actively trying to break up OP's parents. But OP is blaming her for the choices her mother made. Making excuses about how poor her mother's self esteem was. No. Your mother cheated OP. There is no excuse. With MIL did was wrong but there would have been no marriage to break if your mom wasnt actually the worst.
